SANTO ŞİKARİ

(?-1920)

Composer and singer Şikari was a teacher of music at the Izmir Hamîdiyye Sanayi Mektebi. It was said that he had a good knowledge of the classical repertoire. He composed nearly 150 works of Turkish music, and also composed Jewish religious music in the Turkish makams.
